The Las Casas Institute is delighted to announce that this summer it will welcome a Fr Smith Fellow from Providence College, Rhode Island for the first time. The scholar, Elizabeth Weber, in addition to writing a project on themes linked to the Institute's work, will take part in study visits to Rome, Budapest, the European parliament and the UK parliament. Each year Fr Smith Fellows combine academic study with service learning and this new partnership builds on Blackfriars' existing partnerships with universities globally.
