Freedom of Speech

Members of the Hall and Studium are required by law to observe the Code of Practice on Freedom of Speech adopted in compliance with Section 43 of the Education (no.2) Act 1986. This is reproduced in the Oxford University Proctors’ and Assessor’s Memorandum, a copy of which is given to every member of the Hall on arrival. A copy of the Code can also be consulted in the Hall Office.
