The prior and community welcomed members of the congregation for drinks on the Vigil of Candlemas. It was an opportunity for people to find out more about the community and the work of the priory, Hall, and Studium. Tours were organised to take guests to the library, refectory and church to explain a little more about the daily life of the community. It was also a great opportunity to introduce people to Blackfriars, some of whom had never been before.
The evening was part of the ongoing fundraising campaign, which hopes to secure the financial stability of the priory, Hall, and Studium as we approach the 800th anniversary of the foundation of the priory and the province.
