Studying Aquinas Today for Tomorrow’s World
The Aquinas Institute has been promoting research into the philosophy and theology of Thomas Aquinas, and its contemporary value, since 2004.
The Institute organises an annual programme of research seminars, colloquia and public lectures. As well as fostering a community of scholarship here in Oxford, we welcome visiting scholars from across the world.
Fostering the Exchange of Ideas
Located in the University of Oxford, the Institute is uniquely placed to bring Thomistic insights into critical conversation with contemporary thought.
- Our programme of events contribute to the exchange of ideas in this world-class University.
- Our research scholars help to introduce Aquinas to new and emerging scholars in various disciplines across the Collegiate University.
- Our seminar series and colloquia support a wide and diverse community of scholarship, and we are engaged in outreach, especially to young people.
- Â We are part of a global conversation, regularly welcome internationally-renowned scholars to speak at our events and carry out research in association with the Institute.
More information is available about the work of the Institute and its annual programme. You are warmly invited to register for forthcoming events, or to review recordings of past events.
