Blackfriars Hall is offering five awards of £3000 for students who are starting postgraduate courses in the humanities and social sciences in October 2021, as well as the usual annual New Blackfriars’ Scholarship (£1,200).
15th August 2021 is the 800th anniversary of the first foundation of Blackfriars in Oxford, and these awards have been created through generous donations to the campaign that commemorates this extraordinary landmark.
The scholarships will be awarded on academic merit, and on the potential contribution that the applicant can make to the academic life of the Hall.
