The 2017 Annual Las Casas Lecture was delivered by Aidan O’Neill QC at Blackfriars on the 9th of November 2017.

In his lecture, Aidan O’Neill QC reviews the unique relation between the Churches and the State that is found in Britain, considering both our history and the law as it stands now, and looking in particular at contemporary tensions between the Courts and Christians who assert their right to conscientious objection.
