Dr Marystella Ramirez

Research Fellow

Marystella Ramirez was born in El Salvador and she grew up in several Latin American and European countries. She holds degrees in History and Theology from the Universities of Navarre, Oxford, Cambridge, and Aachen. Her research interests include the religious Enlightenment of the Holy Roman Empire during the 18th Century, Women’s education during this Enlightenment period and its connection to the reform of civil society, and the historical connections between social-political regimes and the concept of Human Dignity as understood by Catholic Social Teaching. She is currently working on a book entitled Women’s Education, Proto-Feminism, and Pietism in 18 Century Prussia to be published in 2024 by Routledge.
