Dr James Bergida

Junior Research Fellow

Dr Bergida is a Junior Research Fellow of the Hall and an Adjunct Professor of Political Science and Economics at Christendom College. He has held a Research Fellowship in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Canterbury Institute and, thrice, an Adam Smith Fellowship in Political Economy at the Mercatus Center of George Mason University. James’s research interests include business and political ethics, Catholic social teaching, early Christian social thought, and Islamic economics. He has published on the Catholic approach to private property and is currently completing a book on ethics and interest-based financing. He is a member of several academic societies, including the Academy of Management, American Academy of Religion, and Society for Business Ethics.
