Meng-Ping Hsu, winner of the New Blackfriars Scholarship 2025-26
The New Blackfriars’Â Scholarship 2025-26 has been awarded to Meng-Ping Hsu, who is studying for an MSC in Politics Research.
Meng-Ping expressed her gratitude for the award:
“It is a privilege to be a recipient of the New Blackfriars’ Scholarship. As an MSc. in Politics Research student, I am exploring how identity factors like gender and ethnicity condition development opportunities and peace, particularly in contexts with acute political violence. This funding enables me to build transformative research that will hopefully materialise in a kinder world.
“My professional objective is to generate knowledge that builds ethical, realistic, and sustainable solutions that change lives for the better. I am honoured to be able to advance towards this goal alongside the Blackfriars’ community, whose warm willingness to engage in diverse worldviews nurture my intellectual curiosity and inspire me to seek more innovative methods and approaches to current global challenges.”
