Prof Demetri Kantarelis

Research Fellow, Member of the Aquinas Institute

Prof Demetri Kantarelis, Research Fellow at Blackfriars Hall, is working on Aquinas’ concept of non-opportunistic pricing. Demetri has held postdoctoral visiting scholarships at both Harvard University and the University of Oxford.

Prof Kantarelis is a seasoned economist with a PhD from Clark University. He is a professor of Economics at Assumption University, (Massachusetts, USA), and specializes in industrial organization, with research spanning oligopoly and monopsony theory, investment behaviour, insurance, and healthcare markets. He has published in numerous academic journals; he has authored and co-authored several influential texts. He also serves on the editorial boards of multiple scholarly journals and has been the recipient of several awards for his contributions to economic research and the broader scientific community.
