
Prof Maggi Savin-Baden
Senior Research Fellow
Professor Maggi Savin-Baden was appointed a Senior Research Fellow of Blackfriars Hall in November 2023. She completed a PhD at the University of London and an MSc in E-Learning at the University of Edinburgh. Professor Savin-Baden is also the author of six books on learning and artificial intelligence, and has authored, co-authored, or edited over thirty books in total.
Funded by JISC and the Leverhulme Trust, Maggi has explored the impact of learning in Virtual Worlds, and now plans to continue researching Digital and Artificial Intelligence at Blackfriars Hall’s Las Casas Institute for Social Justice. For the last five years she has been a member of the William Temple Foundation Ethical Futures group, through which she met which Dr Maria Power, resulting in a fruitful collaboration.
