Attending Mass at Blackfriars

30th November 2020

It will be a real joy for us to be able to welcome you back after our latest lockdown in time for the holy season of Advent.

Before Mass – Book a place

Since reopening, we have had a booking system in place for attending Mass, this is partly so that we can have details of those who have attended should there be any problems or concerns about the spread of the virus. However, now that the summer is beginning to draw to a close, and Masses are becoming busier, we ask you to continue to use the booking system so as to ensure that you will have a place at Mass. You can book a place via Eventbrite.

At Mass

Bookings can only be honoured until 6pm, so please arrive in good time for Mass. The church is opened about 10 or 15 minutes before each Mass.

It is compulsory to wear a mask or face covering for Mass, unless you are exempted by government guidelines. We ask all people who attend Mass at the priory to please observe this directive.

Please follow the directions of the stewards and the servers.

Livestreamed mass

For those unable to attend Mass, the daily Conventual Mass is still livestreamed.
