Dr Phillip Lasater

Dr Phillip Lasater is a Research Fellow of Blackfriars Hall. He has taught in the areas of Hebrew Bible and ancient Judaism at Worcester College and in the Faculty of Theology and Religion since 2021; he has also taught at the Universität Zürich (2015–2021), where he completed his PhD.
He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Biblical Literature (2022–) and has also served on the board of Hebrew Bible and Ancient Israel (2012–2021). His research interests include philology, law, anthropology, poetics, and intersections between biblical scholarship, the history of ideas, and theology.
