Dr Rebekah Wallace

Junior Research Fellow

Dr Rebekah Wallace is a Junior Research Fellow at Blackfriars. She is also a Lecturer in Philosophy, Religion, & Ethics at the University of Winchester.

Rebekah’s work in theology, specializing in Science and Religion, looks at embodied cognition theory. Embodied cognition is a move in the cognitive sciences towards an embodied, holistic explanation of the cognitive capacities of living beings. She puts this holistic philosophy of life and mind into dialogue with neo-Aristotelian and Thomist anthropologies. In doing so, she is interested in questions of the soul, mind, human identity, moral action, and the relationship between epistemology & ontology.
