The Dominican Study Week: A Vision for Life
An annual Study Week offering a systematic overview of Catholic Theology, aimed at university students and young adults, especially those seeking to make sense of theology and integrate it into a sustainable vision of Catholic life.
Supported by the Dominican Youth Movement (English Province) and the Aquinas Institute, and generously hosted by the Benedictine monks of Buckfast Abbey. Their beautiful grounds on the edge of Dartmoor are an ideal location for Talks – Discussion – Liturgy – Private Prayer – Time for Reflection –Walks.
A team of Dominican Friars and Sisters leads participants in a comprehensive overview of the Catholic faith over five days, with St Thomas Aquinas’ Summa Theologiae as a guide. Each year there are two “streams”: people joining us for the first time, and people returning. Talks and discussions cover topics such as: The Trinity, Creation, The Human Person, Law and Grace, Cardinal and Theological Virtues, Incarnation, Redemption, the Church, and Sacraments.
The Study Week takes place in July. Cost is between £150 and £180.
