The director of the Las Casas Institute, Hugo Slim, has written a fantastic guest blog for The East African, sponsored by the British High Commission. He has recently completed a tour of Somalia, Kenya, Rwanda, and Djibouti. The blog discusses the shared impact of the climate emergency on all of us, human and non-human, and the particular experience of Africa. An excerpt from the article reads,
‘Climate change, pollution and destructive human behaviour have created a nature emergency across the earth and a resulting crisis of human survival… We are all in the climate emergency together and we must solve it together.’
