The Bursar is responsible for the management of the finances, properties and human resources for Blackfriars Hall and Studium. He also deals with student financial aid and a range of grants and bursaries on offer from the Hall.
The Accounts and Accommodation Officer assists the Bursar in the management of the finances and properties. Enquiries regarding payment of fees and claims for reimbursement should be made to Mrs Lloyd.
The Hall and Studium Secretary provides administrative support to the Moderators, and is the first point of contact for all enquiries from students. Requests for appointments with the Moderators are made through her.
The Welfare and Events Officer is available to see any student who would like to talk over welfare issues. She also organises Hall and Studium special events. Sr Winnie is a Dominican Sister, and a former Diocesan Youth Officer who has also worked in University Chaplaincy.
The Visiting Student Pastoral Support Officer is responsible for the pastoral welfare of visiting students.
The Academic Administrator assists the Vice-Regent and Senior Tutor, providing administrative support for Hall students and for senior members of the Hall and Studium staff where appropriate.
The Junior Dean is a graduate student who liaises between the Hall and students. He is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the student housing in St John St.
The Librarian, Dr Black, is a Fellow of the Hall in charge of the day–to-day running of the library.
The Dean of Degrees presents students at University matriculation and graduation ceremonies.
The Harassment Officers are available to advise and assist any student with concerns about harassment or victimisation from another student or from any staff member in the University. Dr Hutton and Dr Waghorn are confidential advisers who can assist students in resolving matters informally where possible, and will support them through a more formal resolution, if necessary.
On 25th November Blackfriars hosted a Thanksgiving meal for friars, staff and students.
