War and Humanitarian Aid
How can we best help those afflicted by the varying forms of modern warfare and armed conflict?
War remains a significant driver of poverty, suffering and injustice in the world today.
Las Casas researches conflict and humanitarian aid today in close association with the Institute of Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict (ELAC) at Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government. Its main aim is to inform and support the policy and thinking of the international Caritas network and the wide range of Catholic organizations actively engaged in humanitarian work with people suffering in war.
