Growing Conversations – Panel discussion

From Strangers to Neighbours – How we welcome refugees and asylum seekers
Growing Conversations is a project at the Ennismore Retreat Centre in Montenotte, Cork, which promotes the integration of migrants and asylum seekers through weekly gardening, cooking, IT, and English classes over a two-year course. To date it has been attended by around 30+ students from Cuba, South Africa, Kenya, Moldovia, Syria, Iraq amongst others and also a number of Irish.
Participants include: Ms Anita McBride, Project Co-ordinator; Fr Stephen Cummins O.P., Promoter of Justice and Peace, Irish Dominican Province; Representatives of the Cork Educational Training Board.
