Pia Joliffe: Launch of New Book on Japan

Pia Joliffe, Fellow of Blackfriars Hall and involved in our Las Casas Institute, has published a new book, Prisons and Forced Labour in Japan. The Colonization of Hokkaido, 1881-1894 (Routledge)
It will be launched on Wednesday 14th November, at 4pm at the Nissan Institute of Japanese Studies, St Antony’s College.
